When choosing a portable
covert video system you need to look at your primary
applications. Does it need to be quickly installed and
left for a week+ or is the problem going to happen in the
next four hours? Or is it a continuous record problem such
as a cash register? For long-term after
hours facility type problems most covert camera systems
rely on AC power (plugging it in) or very large batteries
that only last 24 hours due to the recorder being on all
the time. A wireless hidden smoke detector camera or
covert exit sign only works if there is power available,
transmitting for more than a few hours requires a large
battery. If you buy a wireless covert camera device make
sure it is going to be easy to get power for the amount of
time needed, otherwise you will be running cable above the
ceiling from your wireless hidden camera to a power source
- probably not what you intended. When you are told a
video transmitter or recorder are battery powered the
question is for how long. That is why so many
hospitals, universities and corporate facilities chose
MTSI for our long-term battery life , simplicity and
technical support.
