A
PCI links Page with Plenty of PCI links
This page is primarily intended as
an engineering resource for people who need to deal with computers built
around the PCI bus. It's reason for being is that there is no
centralized database of PCI device design info. This database is
entirely user-supported; all the data has been, and continues to be,
furnished by those working in the PCI market.
Feel free to add info for the use of
others!
But first - a short plug......Mitsi
provides design services for PCI based computers and PCI-based cards. The
PCI Local Bus is a high-performance bus that provides a
processor-independent data path between the PCI CPU and high-speed PCI
peripherals.

Check out this \
from Dr. Woodward's Brain and Spinal Cord Neuron
analyzer. This display of 13 living brain neurons was captured
with a custom built VME-based 12.5 ns cycle time DSP processor with
a high-speed differential A/D. It also has a whole bunch of stuff
that only a department of Neuorophysiology and Neuropharmacology
understands. The system amplifies the
neuron signal from 0.0000003 Volts and captures it to disk after
filtering and triggering on the signal of interest

is the only magazine dedicated entirely to the CompactPCI
technology. Each issue features techical articles, standards updates,
new products and the latest news. Topics covered include Telecom, High

A neat page from the group that owns (and sells) the spec. These
guys are the official source of all kinds of PCI information,
especially the PCI Specification itself. |

PCI
Viewer Utility
Lets you view the configuration space for all your PCI devices.
Works only on Windows-NT, on Intel, Alpha, or PowerPC processors (and
you'll need administrator privileges to run it). |

PCI
- Efficient Use
There are a small set of rules that should be followed to insure an
efficient PCI design. A study of leading commercial NICs shows that these
rules are often not followed. Interesting article from Intel detailing
this.
