Weather Considerations for Uncovered Outdoor Kennels The UKS System is very rugged and weather resistant, but it is not waterproof. Direct exposure to rain or water spray will temporarily reduce the sensitivity of the microphone and reduce the correction tone loudness. Repeated direct exposure to rain or water spray may permanently damage both the microphone and the speakers. If you are mounting the UKS System outdoors, be sure that the UKS System is protected from direct exposure to rain or water spray. Mounting the unit up high usually protects it from water spray while cleaning your kennels, and a 12" by 18" piece of ordinary plywood directly above the unit will protect it from direct exposure to rain. Direct exposure to rain or water spray voids the guarantee and warranty. Outdoors, the UKS System may be susceptible to triggering by high winds.
